Ghost Radio

from Moon Feathers by John Ralston

/

lyrics

I was tuning in to Ghost Radio out on the moonlit wind, with Arpeggio.
In the pregnant pause of the minor 10th, I was listening close. Leaning into it.

In the driver's seat for a midnight mile, I wondered what it was that halfway made you smile.
Keep my eyes on the road. It's what I know. After all it's just Ghost Radio.

Eagle on my wall. Falcon on my chest. I made it known for you. You'll always be the best.
Feather's from the moon make it down by day. I catch them each by one, and then we'll set the day.

I'm a Desert, I know. It's not like I mean to. I just start stretching out. I end up lonely too.
What else could we try?
Where else could we go?
I'm tuning up the dial to Ghost Radio.

I start remembering.
I never really know who I'm gonna hear on Ghost Radio.
I close my eyes tonight. It's all I've ever known.
Ringing in my ear is Arpeggio.

In the driver's seat for a midnight mile, I wondered what it was that halfway made you smile.
I keep my eyes on the road. It's all in what I know. After all it's just Ghost Radio.
